At the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis, the Red Line Oil Professional Drag Racers Association Drag Racing Series, as reported by Drag Illustrated, revealed significant changes for the 2025 season.
These updates feature a boost in championship payouts surpassing $100,000, demonstrating a strong dedication to enhancing the drag racing scene. As the PDRA begins its new season, series director Tyler Crossnoe emphasized the importance of recognizing the commitment of the drivers and teams. The recently announced changes and partnerships aim to elevate the PDRA series' prominence.
The changes to the prize pool are among the most notable updates for the 2025 season. Incremental increases now award Pro Nitrous and Pro Boost champions $25,000 each, marking a substantial increase from previous payouts. Additionally, top competitors in Pro Street and Extreme Pro Stock will earn $10,000 each, while champions in Pro 632, Super Street, and Pro Extreme Motorcycle will receive $5,000.

This increase in financial incentives extends to the Elite Top Sportsman and Elite Top Dragster champions, who will each receive $5,000. Winners in the Top Sportsman and Top Dragster categories will earn $4,000.
Furthermore, the series is gaining momentum with new partnerships and sponsors. Killin' Time Racing has become a key partner, offering contingency rewards, while Performance Torque Converters will serve as the presenting sponsor for the Pro 632 class. Additionally, Liberty's Gears will now be the title sponsor for the Pro Street class, with support from Menscer Motorsports. These developments highlight the robust financial and technical backing for the series
For the 2025 season, the PDRA intends to uphold a strong schedule featuring eight major race events. These will take place at prominent venues such as GALOT Motorsports Park, Virginia Motorsports Park, Summit Motorsports Park, Maryland International Raceway, US 131 Motorsports Park, and Bristol Dragway. Notably, the Summit Racing Equipment PDRA Pro Stars event on October 2 at VMP will serve as a lead-up to the Brian Olson Memorial World Finals. Its popularity is anticipated to increase by being held alongside a national event.
